The death of doctor Jawad Sinokrot

Jerusalem – Together – A large crowd of Jerusalemites, notables, and national and social figures carried out the funeral of Dr. Jawad Rushdi Sinokrot yesterday from Al-Aqsa Mosque in a solemn procession to his final resting place.

Dr. Jawad Sinokrot is considered one of the pillars of medicine in the Holy City and a brilliant surgeon. He was known for the great successes of the complex surgical interventions he performed in the specializations of general surgery and urology. Dr. Sinokrot worked in Al-Maqasid, Al-Fransawi, and Al-Mutala’ hospitals in Jerusalem. He founded the surgery department at Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron and managed it professionally for years. He was one of the founders of Al-Mizan Hospital in Hebron as well. Sinokrot also worked in the Arab Care Hospital and the Governmental Hospital in Ramallah, in addition to his private clinic on Salah Al-Din Street. His clinic in Hebron was the first specialized clinic in urology in the governorate. During a career that lasted more than 35 years, Dr.
Sinokrot provided great medical services to the people of Palestine, as he was known for his clean hands, gentle manners, charitable work, and helping the poor patient, and he had a distinguished social presence.

Dr. Sinokrot, born in 1947, comes from a Khalili family that has lived in Jerusalem since the early 1950s. He received his education in Jerusalem schools and then studied medicine at Al-Azhar University in Cairo until he specialized in the United Kingdom, where he obtained a British fellowship in general surgery and urology. .

Dr. Sinokrot married the honorable Mrs. Abeer Munir Arafa from Hebron, and they have children, Engineer Rushdi, Engineer Majdi, Rasha, and Daji, and eight grandchildren.

The notables of the city of Jerusalem and its national figures mourned Dr. Sinokrot, enumerating his virtues and great deeds in the service of the Holy City and its people. A funeral home will also be held for the deceased at the University Association in Hebron next Saturday.
