The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today the credentials of the ambassadors of Finland, Anu Saarela, the European Union, Thomas Sailer, and the State of Qatar, Sultan Mubarak Khalifa Al Kubaisi, each separately.

During the meetings, the President stressed the importance of work, coordination and cooperation to develop relations with their countries in areas of common interest and in a way that achieves mutual interests and benefits, noting in this regard Iraq’s aspiration to build a solid base of close relations with countries in the region and the world.

He expressed his wishes to the ambassadors for success in performing their work, expressing his readiness to provide the necessary support for the success of their missions in order to enhance joint cooperation.

The President received, through Ambassadors, the greetings from their countries’ leaders and their wishes to the Iraqi people for continued progress and prosperity, stressing their countries’ keenness to expand the horizons of constructive cooperation with Iraq.

The meetings were attended by Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein.
