Jeddah: His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, received a written congratulatory message from His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the Minister of Sport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, marking his assumption of office as Secretary-General of the OIC.

According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Minister of Sport extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Secretary-General, acknowledging his diplomatic and international achievements. The message expressed confidence in Mr. Ahmed's ability to lead the General Secretariat towards enhanced effectiveness and in serving the causes of the Islamic world.

Furthermore, the Minister emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships, enhancing cooperation, and coordination between the Ministry of Sport of Saudi Arabia and the OIC. He highlighted the goal of empowering youth, developing the sports sector, and establishing joint programs that align with the aspirations of young people in member states and support sustainable development.
