Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Expected Across Several Saudi Regions

Jeddah: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds are expected to strike various regions within Saudi Arabia, including Jazan, Al-Baha, Makkah, Najran, Eastern, and Aseer regions. Rainfall is also anticipated in the Madinah and Tabuk regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, wind conditions over the Red Sea will vary. In the northern and central parts, winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-40 km/h. In the southern part, winds will transition from southerly to southwesterly, shifting at night to northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 10-50 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from half a meter to two meters, with sea conditions fluctuating from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast predicts northwesterly to northerly winds in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to easterly winds in the southern region at speeds of 10-28 km/h. Waves in these areas are anticipated to range from half a meter to one meter, with the sea remaining calm.
