Thunderstorms and High Winds Expected in Jazan, Aseer, and Makkah Regions

Riyadh: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds are anticipated in the Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. The National Center for Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating potential severe weather conditions in these areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, temperatures will remain high to extremely high in the Eastern and Riyadh regions. Additionally, dust-stirring winds may affect parts of these regions, as well as Najran, Hail, Madinah, and Makkah, potentially impacting visibility and air quality.

Winds over the Red Sea are expected to vary in direction and speed, with southwesterly to southeasterly winds at 10-28 km/h in the northern and central areas, and northwesterly to northerly winds at 24-50 km/h in the southern region. Wave heights may range from half a meter to two and a half meters, resulting in calm to choppy sea conditions.

In the Arabian Gulf, southwesterly to southeasterly winds are predicted at speeds of 10-24 km/h. The sea will remain calm, with wave heights between half a meter to one meter.
