The General Directorate of Civil Defense reported that thunderstorms will persist in various regions across Saudi Arabia until Saturday, advising the public to exercise caution and stay in safe locations.
The directorate called for individuals to avoid flood-prone areas and valleys, refrain from swimming there, and closely follow the prescribed guidelines disseminated through media channels and social platforms.
The Makkah Region is expecting moderate to heavy rainfall, potentially leading to flash floods, alongside hailstorms and dusty winds.
Areas across the region, including Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al Ardhiyat, Al Khurmah, Turbah, Ranyah, Al Muwayh, Al Lith, and Al Qunfudhah are likely to be affected.
Concurrently, Makkah City, Al Jumum, Al Kamil, and Jeddah are anticipated to experience lighter to moderate rainfall.
In the Riyadh Region, moderate to heavy rains are on the horizon, impacting regions of Afif, Al-Quway’iyah, Al-Dawadmy, Al Zulfi, Al Ghat, Shaqra, Thadig, Marat, Al Majma’ah, Rumah, Al-Salee
l, Al Aflaj, and Wadi Al Dawaser. Riyadh City, Hotat Bani Tameem, Al-Hareeq, Al Muzahmeya, Al Kharj, Huraymila, Diri’yah, and Dhurma are also expected to witness light to moderate rainfall.
Furthermore, the Eastern Region, Najran, Al Bahah, Aseer, Jazan, Madinah, Al Qassim, Hail, Northern Borders, and Al-Jouf are likely to experience moderate to heavy rains, while the Tabuk Region is forecasted to receive light to moderate rainfall
