Turkey requires a ceasefire in Gaza before entering into any energy projects with Israel

Istanbul – The Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar announced that Turkey will not discuss any energy projects or cooperation with Israel unless military operations in Gaza are stopped.

Bayrakdar said in a televised interview: The current conditions and the atrocities carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip require a comprehensive review in the field of respecting humanitarian concepts and focusing on the necessary needs of the residents of the Gaza Strip who suffer from continuous bombing and a major shortage of food, medicine, and other life necessities.

Bayraktar stressed that the priority at these moments is how to support Gaza in the areas of electricity, water and food, announcing the arrival of electricity generators to the Gaza Strip and awaiting their transfer through the Rafah crossing.
