The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency arrested two defendants in their possession of counterfeit sums of money in the form of US dollars, Iraqi currency, and forged official documents in Anbar Governorate.

The Agency stated in a statement: Detachments of the intelligence Agency specialized in combating organized crime in Anbar arrested two defendants in possession of counterfeit sums of money in the US dollar and Iraqi currency, after monitoring information indicating the presence of people promoting the counterfeit currency.

He explained that after receiving the information, an intelligence and field follow-up team was formed, and after confirming the accuracy of the information, proper judicial approvals were obtained and they were arrested in their possession of counterfeit sums of money and a large number of forged official documents.

He added, when they were interrogated, they frankly admitted that they had promoted counterfeit currency and that they possessed a large number of forged off
icial documents.
