Unified Interactive Map Launched to Display Infrastructure Projects in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center has launched a unified digital interactive map that provides access to detailed information on infrastructure projects across Riyadh Region and its governorates. The initiative aims to enhance transparency, improve project implementation quality, and support urban development efforts in the capital.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the map allows users to explore detailed data on more than 285,000 permits for infrastructure projects covering the water, electricity, telecommunications, and road sectors. It provides information on project type, implementing entity, and start and completion dates through an integrated digital platform that utilizes geospatial information systems (GIS) and intelligent data analysis technologies.

Data from the map indicate that water and electricity projects account for more than 70% of all infrastructure project permits in Riyadh, reflecting the extensive efforts to organize licensing processes and ensure project integration.

The platform also includes a report submission feature that enables residents to record observations and contribute to improving the cityscape by submitting reports directly from the map's geographic interface. This feature facilitates faster response and boosts community participation as an active partner in Riyadh's urban development.
