Vice Environment Minister Launches National Platform for Research and Innovation in Sustainability

Riyadh: Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Al-Mushaiti today inaugurated the national platform for research and innovation foresight for sustainability, which specializes in anticipating research and innovation trends across the environment, water, and agriculture sectors. The platform aims to collect and analyze data to support strategic decision-making and promote efficient and cost-effective modern technologies.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the platform provides accurate and up-to-date data from more than 10,000 scientific and sectorial sources, monitoring over 100 million data points that are updated daily. Using artificial intelligence and big data analytics, it offers forward-looking insights that help policymakers, investors, and innovators make informed decisions based on reliable data.

The platform seeks to translate knowledge into tangible national impact, support the development of innovation policies, enhance investment in emerging technologies, and identify research gaps and priorities, thereby improving the efficiency of the research and innovation ecosystem in the Kingdom's environment, water, and agriculture sectors.
