WAMY Highlights Global Efforts on World Sight Day

Jakarta:World Assembly of Muslim Youth Marking World Sight Day on October 8, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) emphasized the critical need for enhancing ocular health, preventing avoidable blindness, and increasing access to specialized eye care for underserved communities globally.

According to Saudi Press Agency, WAMY actively sends out specialized medical convoys around the world. These convoys conduct eye screenings, provide treatments, and perform surgeries to restore sight, with a particular focus on cataract removal, in regions lacking adequate healthcare facilities.

WAMY praised Saudi Arabia for its prominent humanitarian contributions and global medical assistance, reiterating its dedication to continuing these initiatives. Their efforts aim to combat vision loss and elevate the quality of life for vulnerable populations.
