WFP launches emergency operation to provide food to 1 million people affected by conflict in Lebanon

The United Nations World Food Program announced that it has launched an emergency operation to provide food for up to one million people affected by the conflict in Lebanon.

The WFP said in a post on the “X” platform, “The additional escalation of the conflict this week confirms the need for an urgent humanitarian response.”

The World Food Program has been working in Lebanon for 10 years. It says that workers are sending food, hot meals, “ready-to-eat rations” and cash to civilians, including displaced people who fled the Zionist attacks and those staying in shelters.
