ZATCA Urges Businesses to Submit July VAT Returns by August 31

Riyadh: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) urged businesses subject to value-added tax (VAT) whose annual supplies of goods and services exceed SAR40 million to file their VAT returns for July by August 31, 2026.

According to Saudi Press Agency, ZATCA called on businesses to promptly file their tax returns and make payments through the authority's ZATCA smartphone application. This will help them avoid a late-filing fine ranging from 5% to 25% of the tax required to be declared.

VAT is one of the tax systems in force in the Kingdom. It is an indirect tax imposed on goods and services purchased and sold by businesses, with certain exceptions.
