45th King Abdulaziz International Quran Memorization Competition to Commence in Makkah

Makkah: Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran is set to begin on Saturday, Safar 15, 1447 AH, which corresponds to August 9, 2025. The event, organized and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, will be held at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. This year sees a record participation with contestants from 128 countries worldwide, marking the highest number of participating nations since the competition's inception in 1399 AH, reinforcing its status as a leader in international Quranic competitions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the competition is recognized as one of the most prestigious international Quranic events. It underscores Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to support Quranic programs, enhance its global role in serving the Holy Quran, and promote its message of spreading goodness and moderation.
