Federal Police forces arrested (8) accused in various cases and seized narcotic drugs in Baghdad.
The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that: ‘As part of a series of successful security operations carried out by units of the Fifth Division of the Federal Police in the areas east of the capital, Baghdad, to establish security and impose the rule of law, the detachments of the division in Al-Rashad neighborhood arrested a suspect accused of drug trafficking and seized 500 grams of crystal in his possession, and a glass tube used for taking drugs.’
It added: ‘(7) defendants were arrested in accordance with the legal provisions (indiscriminate shooting with the seizure of a Kalashnikov weapon, a quarrel, and violating a court order) in the areas of (Al-Shaab, Saba Qusour, and Al-Husseiniyah), and the defendants were referred along with the seized materials to the competent authorities.
