Makkah: The Grand Mosque is witnessing these days an influx of Umrah performers who come there to pray in an atmosphere of security, safety, tranquility and spirituality.

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has harnessed all its capabilities, human, mechanical and technical, to serve Umrah performers; 897 employees of both genders are distributed at 89 doors through which the performers come to the mosque.

According to the authority, 89 doors give access to the Grand Mosque at the present time; on Fridays, 15 additional doors are opened to worshipers. It also said that three doors have been dedicated to Umrah performers, 50 designated for worshipers, 20 others are for emergencies, and 16 internal doors.

Authority employees provide guidance to the worshipers, especially during peak times, and welcome them at their entrances, offering them perfume.

By naming and numbering the Grand Mosque doors, the authority makes it easier for worshipers to find their way.

Autho
rity employees also make sure that the instruction asking worshippers to refrain from bringing luggage and food in the mosque is complied with, thus helping maintain the cleanliness of the mosque, and ensuring that worshippers perform their rituals in comfort.
