Bahrain to Host 54th Session of Council of Arab Information Ministers

Cairo, Bahrain is set to host the 54th session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers next Wednesday in cooperation with the Arab League’s Media and Communication Sector and the Bahraini Ministry of Information.

The Assistant Secretary General and Supervisor of the Media and Communication Sector at the Arab League, Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, explained that the session will be preceded by preparatory meetings, including the 101st session of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media and the 19th session of the Executive Office, scheduled for the 27th and 28th of this month.

The Permanent Committee for Arab Media will review the draft agenda of the 54th session of Arab Information Ministers, considering the listed items and the contributions of member states and partners.

The committee will then submit its recommendations to the Executive Office for adoption by the Council.

The session will also present the outcomes of the follow-up on the decisions of the 53rd session of the Council held in Rabat
and the recommendations of the 18th session of the Executive Office in Tripoli, taking into account the results of the preparatory meetings of the teams and committees stemming from the Permanent Committee.
