Judge Hanoun: We intend to prepare a six-year national strategy for integrity and combating corruption

The Federal Integrity Commission confirmed its intention to prepare a new national strategy for integrity and anti-corruption for the next six years, from 2025 to 2030, based on preparation, implementation, cooperation with the three authorities, the Federal Financial Supervision Bureau, and partnership with the private sector, civil society, and investigative journalism.

The Chairman of the Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, said in a speech at the high-level regional meeting held by the Arab Network for the Promotion of Integrity and Anti-Corruption: ‘The Arab Network for the Promotion of Integrity and Anti-Corruption, since its launch, has become a leading regional platform for knowledge networking, capacity development, policy dialogue, information exchange, and creating a space for broad participation among its members in the fields of its competence in accordance with its charter, because it includes official institutions concerned with combating corruption from various parts of the Arab region on the on
e hand, and prominent non-governmental bodies affiliated with a non-governmental group that operates as an independent element of the Arab Network on the other hand, in addition to a number of observers, which amounted to (51) ministries and bodies from (18) Arab countries, (28) independent organizations from civil society, the private sector, the academic field, and a group of observer members.’

He added, “The network works with the support of the regional project to combat corruption and promote integrity in Arab countries of the United Nations Development Programme, which hosts its regional support unit. It also cooperates with other organizations, including the League of Arab States and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
