Jeddah: The Jeddah Municipality, with meticulous planning and preparation, has readied over 4,995 workers and supervisors and allocated 760 pieces of equipment to implement the comprehensive cleaning service plan for the Hajj season 1445 AH. This plan, executed in three stages, will be in operation until the 26th of Dhul-Hijjah, ensuring safety and comfort throughout.

In a proactive approach, the General Administration of Cleaning Projects is developing a field plan to enhance the quality of services. This plan is designed to ensure the comfort and safety of the pilgrims, effectively addressing the effects of the increasing number of pilgrims and visitors to Jeddah.

According to the Municipality, the first phase, from the 20th of Dhu al-Qi’dah to the 7th of the next Dhu al-Hijjah, targets the roads, stations, and parking lots leading to Makkah.

The second phase, from the 8th to the 15th of the next Dhu al-Hijjah, focuses on cleaning Eid prayer halls, removing waste from the slaughtering, cleaning entertain
ment venues, and the Corniche.

The third phase, which spans from the 16th to the 26th of the next Dhu al-Hijjah, concentrates on restoring efficiency in commercial markets by ensuring regular waste collection, cleaning restaurants and entertainment venues, and intensifying litter collection in parking lots and public areas.

In its Hajj plan, the municipality has also established emergency teams in each area to ensure a swift response to emergency situations and round-the-clock response to reports, providing security and protection. These teams are equipped and ready for immediate deployment and intervention in the event of an emergency.
