Riyadh, The Ministry of the Interior announced that the Hajj Security Forces arrested eight individuals for violating Hajj regulations and instructions — no Hajj without a permit — at the entrances to Makkah. The arrested individuals included three residents and five citizens who were caught transporting 36 violators on June 6.

The General Directorate of Passports issued administrative decisions against the culprits, which included a 15-day prison sentence for each transporter, a fine of SAR 10,000 for each violator who was transported, defamation of them, deportation of expatriate transporters with prevention from re-entering the Kingdom for a specified period after the sentence implementation, and judicial confiscation of three vehicles used in transportation.

The Ministry of Interior urged all citizens and expatriates to adhere to Hajj regulations to ensure the pilgrims’ safety, security, comfort, and reassurance during their Hajj rituals.
