Riyadh: The Arab Parliament has welcomed the United Nations Security Council resolution, which calls for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the enclave, the return of displaced individuals to their respective homes across the Strip, unimpeded and expeditious access to humanitarian aid, and the rejection of any demographic alteration.
In an official statement issued today, the Arab Parliament regarded this resolution as a positive step towards halting the ongoing aggression and campaign of extermination against the Palestinian people. It urged the international community and the Security Council to compel the occupying entity to implement the resolution without delay or preconditions, as well as previous resolutions issued by the United Nations and the International Court of Justice, and to assume their responsibilities for its enforcement.
The Arab Parliament reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian people until
they attained their inalienable rights, including self-determination, the return of refugees, and the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. It further noted the Arab and international efforts calling for an immediate and urgent cessation of the aggression against Gaza and the war of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians.
