CEO of Weqaa Center Inspects Readiness of Plant, Animal Health Sectors in Madinah

Madinah: CEO of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) Eng. Ayman bin Saad Al-Ghamdi checked on the readiness of the plant and animal health sectors to serve pilgrims in Madinah during the Hajj season 1445 AH.

The inspection tour included the control and command centre project and the diagnostic laboratory to check on the implementation of the centre’s operational plan, efforts in supervision, inspection, and checks on livestock, indicators of agricultural quality of life in Madinah, and awareness and educational plans. It also included monitoring livestock markets and slaughterhouses to follow up on work progress.

The Weqaa Center has mobilized the necessary human and technical resources to serve pilgrims and assist them in obtaining healthy livestock animals for sacrifice.
