Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association Establishes Value of Volunteering in Guidance Services in Serving Pilgrims

General

Mina: Almost 4,000 youth members of the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association have demonstrated the importance of community service by assisting pilgrims at the holy sites. Approximately 3,980 male scouts and rovers, along with 220 female scouts, helped older people, children, and inpatients. They also provided support to various government agencies, nonprofits, and charitable organizations.

The association has eleven field service camps, where it conducts intensive training and field surveys of sites and camps to help guide and direct lost pilgrims. It has also printed one million paper maps to distribute to pilgrims. Additionally, the society offers electronic guiding programs that can be downloaded for smartphones through its official website.
