Makkah: The Ministry of Commerce oversaw the delivery of more than 400 million food items to pilgrims during the Hajj season 1445 AH. Beverages were the most in-demand category, with over 160 million packages of milk and juice delivered. This was followed by bottled water, with over 147 million packages, and baked goods, with over 84 million loaves of bread.

As part of this year’s Hajj plan, the ministry’s supervisory teams collaborated with organizers to ensure the availability of essential goods for pilgrims. They inspected sales outlets, monitored food supply chains, and oversaw commercial establishments to enforce consumer protection regulations and prevent violations.
