22 Government Agencies Enhance Development within Index of Emerging Technologies Adoption Readiness

The performance index of government agencies in “Emerging Technologies Adoption” significantly improved by 10% compared to the previous year. The index increased from 60.35% in 2023 to 70.70% in 2024, which was accompanied by a rise in the number of participating government agencies from 13 last year to 35 this year.

This data was included in the annual report published by the Digital Government Authority (DGA), which emphasises the capacity of government agencies to adopt emerging technologies in 2024.

The Kingdom’s aspirations to foster innovation and support modern technologies, as well as its dedication to sustainable development and the construction of an advanced digital future within the objectives of Vision 2030, are reflected in the rise of the Emerging Technologies Adoption Index. The Kingdom has leveraged its capabilities to lead digital transformation globally and has established it as a critical component of its future vision.

The report demonstrated advancements in the adoption of emerging te
chnologies, with the research capability reaching 72.04% and the communication capability reaching 71.88%. Furthermore, the field of integration attained 67.93%, while the field of prove capability recorded 70.84%, indicating advanced levels of development.

In the realm of emergent technologies, drones have facilitated aerial photography and real estate imaging, resulting in an 80% increase in operational efficiency and a reduction in time and effort.

Augmented and virtual reality technologies have also enhanced the digital experience for individuals with special needs, thereby increasing their access to digital services. The digital twinning of industrial cities has facilitated the accurate inventory of assets for 22 out of 36 industrial cities, while Ameen – Digital Human currently receives over 36,000 monthly customers.

The Anaam Shain app has enabled the secure management of livestock data in the Kingdom, and firefighting robots have reduced physical losses by as much as 50%.
