The United States announces an outbreak of a deadly disease in 12 states simultaneously

General

The American Center for Disease Control announced the spread of listeriosis, or the so-called circulatory disease (Listeria), in 12 states at the same time.

The Center stated in a statement: ‘Two people died due to the disease, and 28 others were transferred to the hospital.’

The statement indicated: ‘The actual number of infections with the disease may be higher.’

According to the statement, most of the infected people ate meat products, including mortadella and sausages, but so far there is no confirmation that this is actually the cause.

Earlier in Canada, two people died and nine others were taken to hospital, and it was noted that all those infected drank soft drinks of plant origin.

The infection that causes this disease is usually transmitted to the human body by eating foods contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes (vegetables and animal products), which causes severe intestinal disorders, affects the nervous system and can cause meningitis, encephalitis, and death.

In the danger zone are people
over the age of 60, pregnant women, newborn babies, and those with weak immunity.
