Women Riders Drive Equestrian Boom in Tabuk

General

Equestrianism is experiencing a surge in popularity in Saudi Arabia, especially among women, with the Tabuk Region emerging as a vibrant hub for the sport.

A deep-rooted love for horses, combined with government support, has empowered women to excel in this traditionally male-dominated field.

Local riders like Arwa Al-Talbi and Ahoud Al Majthoub are inspiring others to take up the reins, sharing their journeys from hobbyists to professionals. They credit the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 with creating an environment where women can thrive in sports.

Nasser Al-Nasser, a horse stable owner, confirmed the rising interest in equestrianism, especially among women, and the region’s commitment to providing top-tier facilities and training.

Currently hosting a tent-pegging training course organized by the Saudi Equestrian Federation, Tabuk is solidifying its position as a center for equestrian excellence.
