The Democratic Party officially approved, during its conference in Wisconsin, yesterday, Tuesday, the selection of the current US Vice President, Kamala Harris, to run for the US presidential elections.

US presidential candidate Kamala Harris told the party conference: “The former US president, the Republican candidate for the US presidential elections, says ‘he will be a dictator from day one’,” and pledged to “chart a new path forward.”

She added, “The opportunity for working class people to make their way to the White House is something that only happens in the United States,” noting that she “cares about reducing taxes and providing jobs for the American people, and will work to protect against weapons and everything that suppresses freedoms.”

After her selection to run for the US presidential elections was officially approved, US Senator Bernie Sanders gave a speech in which he said: “Kamala Harris should be elected to the US presidency. We need to provide justice for all American citizens at home and
abroad, and we must stop the war in Gaza immediately.”
