Makkah: National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plants Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) CEO Ayman Al-Ghamdi reviewed the center's operational plan for Makkah Region ahead of the 1446 AH Hajj season, which focuses on pest control, managing animal health risks during transport within the holy sites, monitoring epidemic diseases, and infection control in livestock markets and slaughterhouses.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Ghamdi also met with officials from the Makkah branch to discuss preparations and ensure the team's readiness to provide essential services, guaranteeing a smooth and secure Hajj experience for pilgrims in Makkah and Madinah. He emphasized the Saudi leadership's commitment to ensuring the comfort of the pilgrims, assuring that the animal and plant health teams are fully equipped and prepared to perform at the highest level throughout the season.
