NCA Launches Second ‘Cyber Awareness Guide’ for Pilgrims

Riyadh: The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in partnership with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has launched the second edition of the 'Cyber Awareness Guide.' This initiative aims to enhance cybersecurity awareness during the Hajj and Umrah seasons and promote a strong cybersecurity culture among pilgrims. It is part of the Cybersecurity Fostering Program for the Hajj season 1446 AH, which is implemented to support national efforts and provide an integrated experience that meets high standards of security, comfort, and excellence for pilgrims.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the second edition of the guide consists of educational materials focused on cybersecurity awareness. It includes updated content on key topics such as application security, software updates, two-factor authentication, secure passwords, social engineering, phishing methods and prevention, safe internet browsing, and regular data backups. These areas are intended to improve pilgrims' digital safety practices and increase their cybersecurity awareness.

The guide further highlights the significance of cybersecurity awareness in mitigating cyber risks during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. It is accessible in 16 languages through the awareness guides section on the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's website.
