Pilgrim City in Al-Wadiah Welcomes Over 11,000 Yemeni Pilgrims with Comprehensive Services

Sharurah: Pilgrim City in Al-Wadiah, located in Sharurah Governorate, has received more than 11,000 pilgrims arriving from Yemen, supported by a fully integrated system of services overseen by the principality, and with the participation of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and the non-profit sector in the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the non-profit sector, represented by the Social Development Center in Sharurah and Al-Wadiah Charity Association, has been providing a comprehensive welcoming experience since launching the project to receive pilgrims at the Pilgrim City in Al-Wadiah. This initiative reflects the Kingdom's deeply rooted values of hospitality and honoring pilgrims, including the distribution of over 26,000 hot and dry meals, more than 15,000 bottles of water, and over 18,000 cold and hot beverages. These efforts have created an atmosphere that showcases the true spirit of Saudi hospitality, offering pilgrims a warm and reassuring welcome on their journey to perform their Hajj rituals and reach the holy sites.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development also prepared a 450-square-meter facility to serve as a fully equipped hospitality center, ensuring comfort, organization, and smooth operations. These efforts were supported by more than 437 volunteers registered through the National Volunteer Portal, who contributed over 20,000 volunteer hours. Their roles included crowd management, meal distribution, and providing guidance, collectively painting a national picture of benevolence toward pilgrims.
