More Than 12 Million Worshippers Visit Prophet’s Mosque During Pre-Hajj Period

Medina: More than 12 million worshippers visited the Prophet's Mosque during the pre-Hajj period, facilitated by the Agency of the General Authority for the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque, which provided a range of integrated services to the Guests of God. This initiative was part of a continuous effort to ensure worshippers and visitors could perform their religious duties in a secure and organized environment.

According to Saudi Press Agency, statistics show that from Dhu al-Qi'dah 15 to Dhu al-Hijjah 1, approximately 12,914,153 worshippers attended the Prophet's Mosque. Additionally, the Noble Rawdah received 666,580 visitors, and 161,802 individuals benefited from the transportation services available in the courtyards. The mosque also distributed 301,802 Iftar meals to those fasting and provided 218,336 bottles of Zamzam water, with the total consumption amounting to 3,360 tons.

Efforts to maintain environmental cleanliness included the transportation of 312 tons of waste, alongside the use of 41,675 liters of disinfectants and sterilizers for the mosque, with an extra 10,950 liters for the facilities. To enhance the spiritual atmosphere, 7 kilograms of incense and 39 liters of luxurious perfumes and oils were used throughout the mosque's corridors.

These initiatives are a testament to the care provided by the wise leadership, aiming to deliver high-quality services to the Guests of God. The operational plans for the Hajj season focus on ensuring comfort and reassurance for visitors during their time at the Prophet's Mosque.
