New York City: Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, delivered a speech at a high-level international conference focused on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution. The event took place at the United Nations headquarters, with Saudi Arabia chairing the conference alongside the French Republic.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Foreign Minister highlighted the ongoing escalation in the region, noting the severe violations faced by civilians, such as starvation, bombing, and displacement. He pointed out that these issues are compounded by the systematic undermining of international efforts to deliver aid and alleviate suffering in Gaza. The minister also addressed the violations in the West Bank and Jerusalem, where policies aim to alter the religious and demographic landscape.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that peace cannot be achieved by denying rights or imposing solutions by force. He warned that Israel's policies contribute to instability and foster environments conducive to violence and extremism, thereby threatening security on both a regional and international scale.

He reiterated Saudi Arabia's commitment to the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. He expressed appreciation for France's efforts to recognize the State of Palestine and urged other countries to follow suit, aiming to end the occupation and secure peace for all in the region.

The session included attendance by notable figures such as Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, Ambassador to the United States, and several other prominent Saudi officials and diplomats, underscoring the importance of the conference and the Kingdom's continued commitment to resolving the Palestinian issue.
