Riyadh: The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has published its air transport service index for July 2025, which ranks airlines and airports based on passenger complaints. A total of 1,974 complaints were submitted to GACA during the month.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudia was the top-ranked airline with the fewest complaints, 31 per 100,000 passengers, and a 98% resolution rate. Flynas ranked second with 36 complaints per 100,000 passengers, achieving a 100% timely resolution rate, and Flyadeal came in third with 40 complaints per 100,000 passengers, also with a 100% timely resolution rate.

The most common complaints were related to flights, followed by baggage and tickets. King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh had the lowest number of complaints among international airports with over six million annual passengers, with only 23 complaints and a 100% timely resolution rate.

Taif International Airport led the category for international airports with fewer than six million passengers, with just three complaints and a 100% resolution rate. King Saud Airport topped the domestic airport category with only two complaints and a 100% resolution rate.

GACA produces this monthly report to help travelers make informed choices and to encourage competition among service providers. The authority has also implemented initiatives to improve service, including providing guidelines to airport partners and training airline employees on customer rights regulations.

Passengers can file complaints 24/7 through various channels, including a unified call center (1929), WhatsApp (0115253333), social media, and email.
