Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather forecast predicting moderate to heavy thunderstorms in several regions, potentially leading to flash floods. Areas such as Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Hail, Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, and Eastern regions may experience these severe weather conditions, which could include hail and dust-stirring winds.
According to Saudi Press Agency, light to moderate rain is also expected in parts of Riyadh, Tabuk, and Al-Baha regions, with a possibility of fog developing in these areas. The meteorological report further highlights that the Red Sea will see varying wind patterns, with westerly to northwesterly winds in the northern and central parts reaching speeds of 20-60 km/h, while the southern part will experience southeasterly to southerly winds at 12-48 km/h. Additionally, wave heights are anticipated to range from one and a half meters to over two and a half meters, resulting in choppy sea conditions.
In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast indicates southeasterly to southerly winds at speeds of 10-32 km/h, with wave heights reaching from half a meter to one and a half meters, suggesting relatively calm sea conditions overall.
