Prophet’s Mosque Imam Urges Excellence in Good Deeds in Friday Sermon

Medina: In his Friday sermon today, Prophet's Mosque Imam Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Al-Qasim advised Muslims to fear Allah and remain mindful of Him in both private and public spheres.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Qasim pointed out that Allah Almighty created humankind for the sole purpose of worshipping Him. He described this world as a field for cultivating the Hereafter, designed for competing in obedience, hastening to perform good deeds, and striving for closeness to the Divine. He emphasized that the call to strive in good deeds goes beyond merely performing them, extending to perfecting them and carrying them out in the best possible manner.

He further added that virtuous souls benefit greatly from this spiritual competition, as they constantly seek to catch up with the righteous and advance in their faith. This drive to excel in worship is a clear sign of high aspirations and a commendable emulation of the virtuous.
