Sana'a: The Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, chaired by Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, issued a decision today to expel Aidrous Al-Zubaidi from the council and refer him to the Attorney General on charges of high treason. According to Saudi Press Agency, the council announced through the Yemeni News Agency (SABA) that it had suspended Al-Zubaidi from all his duties. His case has been referred to the Attorney General due to actions allegedly aimed at undermining the independence of the Republic of Yemen. The charges against Al-Zubaidi include harming Yemen's military, political, and economic interests, forming an armed gang, involvement in the killing of officers and armed forces personnel, and exploiting the legitimate Southern cause while committing serious violations against civilians. The statement further detailed accusations against Al-Zubaidi of sabotaging military facilities and installations, engaging in repeated armed confrontations with the armed forces, attacking the constitution and constitutional institutions, and committing violations of the constitution and laws that infringe on Yemen's sovereignty and independence.
