Saudi Arabia Launches Ramadan Aid Programs in South Africa and Neighboring Nations

Pretoria: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, in collaboration with the Saudi Embassy in Pretoria, has initiated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Ramadan programs across South Africa and its neighboring countries. This initiative involves distributing 24 tons of dates and implementing iftar meals to support Muslim communities during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program has allocated 15 tons of dates to South Africa, while the countries of Lesotho, Botswana, and Eswatini will each receive three tons. These efforts are set to benefit approximately 96,000 individuals, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to its global humanitarian mission and the promotion of solidarity among Muslim communities during Ramadan.
