Dust-Stirring Winds and Rain Expected Across Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has forecasted dust-stirring winds and potential rain for various regions in Saudi Arabia this Saturday. Northern Borders, Eastern, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, and Madinah regions may experience light to moderate rain, while the highlands of Makkah, Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan are expected to see moderate rainfall.

According to Saudi Press Agency, temperatures are predicted to decrease in parts of northern Saudi Arabia, indicating a shift in weather patterns. In terms of wind conditions, the Red Sea will experience northwesterly to northerly winds at speeds of 30-55 km/h in the northern and central regions. The southern part will see winds from the south to southeast at 15-45 km/h. Waves in the Red Sea are anticipated to range from half a meter to over two meters, causing the sea to be calm to occasionally choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, the winds are expected to be southerly to southeasterly, later shifting to northerly to northeasterly in the afternoon at speeds of 8-45 km/h in the northern and central regions. The southern part will have winds from the southwest to west at 8-22 km/h. Wave heights in the Arabian Gulf are also predicted to range from half a meter to over two meters, contributing to varying sea conditions.
