Port sudan: The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation held a farewell ceremony today for Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, marking the end of his tenure in Port Sudan in eastern Sudan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mohieldin Salem praised the important role Ambassador Jaafar played during his tenure. He stressed that bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Sudan have reached advanced stages, reflected in ongoing arrangements to establish a strategic cooperation council between the two countries as the highest level of cooperation.

The ambassador affirmed the Saudi leadership's commitment to standing by Sudan in appreciation of its status and in support of its security, stability, territorial integrity, and institutions.
