Makkah: The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites has concluded its operations for the 1447 AH Hajj season after implementing a series of plans, projects, and initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of services provided to pilgrims. These efforts were carried out in partnership with relevant government and operational entities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the commission's efforts for this year's Hajj season were based on preparations that commenced immediately following the previous Hajj season. These preparations focused on several key areas including transportation and mobility, infrastructure development at holy sites, enhancing the efficiency of miqats, and improving the services of Saudi Arabia's project for the utilization of sacrificial animals (Adahi).

The transport system achieved significant operational milestones, with over 1.44 million pilgrims transported from entry points in more than 45,000 trips. Additionally, over 1.1 million pilgrims traveled between cities through more than 31,000 trips. The Adahi project recorded an all-time high of 1,204,087 contracts for sacrificial animal services during the Hajj season.

Kidana Development Company executed various projects aimed at improving conditions for pilgrims, such as the replacement of misting columns with misting fans in the western area of the Jamarat facility, and a shading and climate-control project around Jabal Al-Rahmah. Infrastructure improvements also included the expansion of the emergency hospital in Mina to 400 beds and the implementation of the second phase of modern restroom complexes in Muzdalifah and Arafat.

Pilgrim satisfaction indicators revealed an overall satisfaction rate of 93.1% for the 1447 AH Hajj season, which is an increase of 2.1 percentage points compared to the previous year. The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites emphasized that these accomplishments are a testament to the integrated efforts of all entities involved in the Hajj ecosystem and their ongoing commitment to enhancing services in Makkah and the holy sites.
