Riyadh:According to Saudi Press Agency, the Roads General Authority (RGA) has highlighted the crucial importance of the road network in boosting supply chains and logistics operations by integrating with the private sector. The collaboration with Almarai Company underscores how roads contribute to achieving food security and ensuring that products are delivered across various regions of the Kingdom, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure efficiency and support logistics services.

The RGA noted that the advanced road network, constructed following high quality and safety standards, has successfully connected the Kingdom's expansive area, which spans over 2 million square kilometers. This network facilitates transportation between farms, factories, distribution centers, and markets.

Almarai Company emphasized that the Kingdom's sophisticated road network has significantly improved its logistics operations, ensuring a seamless flow of supply chains. The network has allowed for faster delivery of food products, especially fresh items with short shelf lives, to consumers in both cities and rural areas, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

The company further stated that roads constructed with high safety standards have minimized product damage during transit, thereby enhancing the sustainability of food availability and supporting food security goals.
