Syria Denounces Houthi Attacks on Saudi Airports

Hanoi:The Syrian Arab Republic has issued a strong condemnation of the recent attacks by the Houthi militia on important facilities and civilian assets in Saudi Arabia, including Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport. These attacks have resulted in both casualties and injuries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates released a statement via the Syrian Arab News Agency. The statement emphasized that targeting civilian facilities and putting civilian lives at risk is a blatant violation of international law and relevant norms and charters, posing a direct threat to the security of both the Kingdom and the region.

The ministry reaffirmed Syria's solidarity with Saudi Arabia, supporting all legitimate measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security and stability, as well as to ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.

Additionally, Syria expressed its total rejection of any form of aggression against Saudi territory and actions that endanger regional security and stability. The ministry also offered sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
