Jakarta:The Ministry of Energy conducted 14,335 inspections in September 2026, uncovering 723 violations related to the Law of Petroleum and Petrochemical Products and the Law on the Distribution of Dry Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for Residential and Commercial Purposes.
According to Saudi Press Agency, The violations identified included engaging in unlicensed petroleum or petrochemical activities and unauthorized retail sales of LPG cylinders, among other breaches of the two laws.
These inspections are part of efforts to enhance regulatory compliance, ensure the security and reliability of petroleum and petrochemical supplies, and strengthen oversight to prevent unlawful practices and protect the market.
The ministry has encouraged consumers to report any compliance-related observations by contacting the toll-free Beneficiary Services Center at 1914, using the Taqa Partner Services application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, or through the national Tawakkalna application.
Reports are managed through the ministry's network of 20 inspection branches across the Kingdom, which operate 24/7 to ensure prompt response, timely follow-up, and effective management of emergency cases.
