Riyadh– Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Khayyal, Vice-President of the Human Rights Commission (HRC), reaffirmed that the Kingdom’s commitment to child protection stems from its principles and strong values in respect for human rights. He noted that the spread and expansion of differences in the world today have led to wars and armed conflicts, where children represent a high portion of the victims.

The HRC training program, “Protecting the Children’s Rights during Armed Conflicts,” was launched today at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Riyadh. The HRC organized the program with the support of the office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the UNICEF, the International Organization for Migration, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief), and the Child Protection Unit in the joint forces.
