7th Session of Saudi-Argentine Joint Committee’s Meeting Concluded

Riyadh– The Saudi-Argentina Joint Committee during the activities of its 7th session held in Riyadh on November 9, 2022, discussed the development of economic, commercial, cultural, and scientific relations between the two countries, based on a previously signed general cooperation agreement.

Minister of Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, headed the Saudi side, while the Argentinean side was headed by Argentinean Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Religions Santiago Andrés Cafiero.

Al-Fadley said that the meetings of the committee are a result of the general agreement for economic and technical cooperation, which was signed by the two governments in 1981 and is seen as an important tool in fostering and growing relations in all areas to satisfy the aspirations of the two governments and advance their objectives of increasing trade exchange volume, technical cooperation, and stimulating various investments.

The minister emphasized that the government of the Kingdom is keen to support bilateral relations with Argentina, praising the two sides’ advanced level of coordination and understanding of their ambitious goals for raising their level of cooperation and relations to one that will be advantageous to the peoples of the two nations. He demanded that the committee’s recommendations be put into action, that hurdles be removed, and that the private sector be encouraged and inspired to increase its investments and seize opportunities by holding frequent business meetings on a bilateral basis and by fostering an environment that is conducive to investment in order to advance future economic ties.
