Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani saluted journalists and media professionals on the World Press Freedom Day, reiterating his commitment to protecting press freedoms.
Al-Sudani said in a tweet on Twitter: Greetings to all journalists and media professionals, who serve the truth on World Press Freedom Day.. and we renew our commitment to protecting press freedoms, in accordance with the principles of the law and the constitution; because it is the pillar of established democracy and its fortified wall.
He added: On this occasion, we renew our assertion that professional journalism is our best partner in performing our national dues in service of our honorable people.
