The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) and the Council of Representatives held a meeting with the Asian delegation from around 23 different Asian parliaments, on the side of the Standing Committee on Economic and Sustainable Development at the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).
Ali Ahmed Al Derazi, NIHR President, praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the human rights field that resulted in establishing the NIHR and the Kingdom’s development in various fields.
He hailed the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to the development of the institution.
Al Derazi stressed the importance of these meeting to review Bahrain’s efforts in the human rights field thanks to its legislative, judicial and legal system, which enabled it to be in the ranks of developed countries.
