Jassem Mohamed Al Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Datuk Mohamad Bin Alamin, Malaysian Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister.
They discussed raising the level of strategic dialogue between the GCC and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), following 13 years after its initiation in 2009, as Malaysia is the coordinator of the Association for GCC affairs during the current year.
The meeting reviewed the GCC-Malaysian relations and boosting cooperation.
Al Budaiwi highlighted the outcome of joint ministerial meeting for the strategic dialogue between the GCC and the countries of Central Asia, which was held in 2022.
