Speaker of Shura Council Holds Talks with Speaker of Jordanian House of Representatives

The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, held talks today with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ahmed Al-Safadi, as part of his current official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Al-Safadi is leading a delegation from the Jordanian House of Representatives.

At the beginning of the session, the Speaker of the Shura Council welcomed the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives and the accompanying delegation. He praised the deep relations and close ties that unite the two countries. He emphasized the importance of strengthening joint parliamentary cooperation to serve common interests and achieve the aspirations and future visions of both countries.

In response, the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives expressed his happiness for the warm reception. He also commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its great efforts in serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, as well as the remarkable services provided by the Kingdom to pilgrims. He praised the Kingdom’s achievements in various fields.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed several issues of common interest, which contribute to achieving shared goals, especially in relation to parliamentary affairs between the Shura Council and the Jordanian House of Representatives. They highlighted the importance of increasing bilateral coordination at all levels.
